I'm just getting tired of implementing the same shooter game mechanics over and over again and want to do something with minimal "rudimentary" and repetitive features. And i thought another VN would work well.
Last time i made a VN, things seemed to go well. It was also fun and i got it released in no time. Arcade/shooter games used to feel that way too, but after coding my 5689th pathfinding algorithm for hostile entities and my millionth time making bullet projectiles, a change feels a little needed.
I still don't have an exact idea I'd go with, but whatever that will end up being, it probably won't be as depressing as giving therapy to a traumatized ghost.
